Myrtle Beach Real Estate Photography: What Agents Should Expect

Listing photos are the first showing. On the Grand Strand, buyers scroll through hundreds of homes on their phones before they ever call an agent. If your photos do not stop the scroll, the showing never happens.

Weston Media has shot more than 4,000 listings across Horry and Georgetown counties since 2023. Here is what good real estate photography looks like in this market, and what to look for when you hire a photographer.

Why Myrtle Beach listings need a local photographer

Every market has quirks. Ours has more than most.

Oceanfront condos in North Myrtle Beach and along Ocean Boulevard are small, bright and full of glass. Shooting them well means handling hard window light without blowing out the view. The view is the whole reason someone buys.

Carolina Forest and Market Common are full of newer construction with open floor plans. These homes need wide, straight, well-lit interiors that show the flow from kitchen to living room without making the space look fake.

Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet bring in marsh views, creek docks and older coastal architecture. Those listings sell on setting. Exterior and elevated shots carry a lot of the weight.

Conway and the inland side of the county are more about acreage, outbuildings and mature trees. Drone photography is often the difference between a listing that looks like a house and one that looks like a property.

A photographer who works this area every day knows which angle sells a Grande Dunes golf view and which time of day makes a Surfside Beach backyard glow. That local knowledge shows up in the final gallery.

What a professional shoot includes

A standard Weston Media listing shoot covers:

  • Wide interior shots of every room, shot level with corrected verticals

  • Exterior front, back and side angles

  • Detail shots of upgraded finishes, fixtures and outdoor living spaces

  • HDR blending so windows show the view instead of white glare

  • Sky replacement when the weather does not cooperate

  • Blue-sky, green-grass color correction on exteriors

Photos are delivered next day. Agents get MLS-sized and high-resolution versions, ready to upload.

Add-ons like drone, cinematic video, Zillow 3D Home tours, Matterport, 2D floor plans, virtual staging and twilight photos can be bundled into one appointment. One visit, one invoice, everything delivered together.

How much does real estate photography cost in Myrtle Beach?

Weston Media's 2027 Standard bundles start at $185 for Essentials. The Zillow Showcase bundle starts at $300, Photo + Video starts at $385, Branding starts at $470 and the Everything bundle starts at $575.

Premium shoots start at $260. The Ultimate package starts at $1,185 for luxury listings that need the full treatment.

Pay at closing is available, so you can order the media your listing deserves without fronting the cost. Full details are on the pricing page.

What separates good from great

Plenty of people in Myrtle Beach own a wide-angle lens. Fewer deliver consistently. Here is what to look for:

Straight lines. Walls should be vertical. Countertops should be level. Crooked photos look amateur on the MLS, and buyers notice even when they cannot say why.

True color. White walls should look white, not yellow or blue. Hardwood should look like hardwood.

Windows you can see through. If every window is a white rectangle, the photographer skipped HDR. In a coastal market where the view is the selling point, that is a real problem.

Reliable turnaround. Next-day delivery means you can list on your schedule, not the photographer's.

Easy booking. You should be able to book online in a couple of minutes, pick your bundle and get a confirmation without a phone tag session.

Prepping the home before the shoot

The best photos start before the photographer arrives. Clear counters, hide trash cans, turn on every light, open every blind and move cars out of the driveway. Weston Media's Getting Ready Guide walks sellers through the full checklist so you can forward it the day you sign the listing agreement.

Weather matters too. Our weather page explains how we handle rain days and overcast skies, and when a reschedule makes more sense than a sky swap.

Beyond photos: the full media package

The Grand Strand is competitive. Many of the top-producing agents here order photo, drone and video together on every listing, then use the 3D tour for out-of-state buyers who cannot make a showing. Vacation rental owners in North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach order a dedicated rental package built for Airbnb and VRBO listings.

If you are building your own brand, a branding session gives you headshots, lifestyle images and short video clips for social media and your website. Many agents pair a branding session with a listing shoot to save a trip.
